SCHOOL where he was a scholarship student of DOROTHY DeLAY and MASAO KAWASAKI.
He also studied chamber music with ROBERT MANN of the JUILLIARD QUARTET.

Having won numerous competitions and also having performed as soloist with orchestras in his youth while living in Australia, he was advised by the member of the TOKYO QUARTET to consider studying with JASCHA HEIFETZ.

Eventually when he was 16 years old, he was accepted as the youngest student of Mr. HEIFETZ.

Since his US recital debut in 1987, he has performed as soloist and chamber musician in the USA, Korea, Australia, Japan and Taiwan. 

He also gave the New York premier of "SUNRISE OF THE PLANETARY DREAM COLLECTOR, a composition by the renowned American composer TERRY RILEY ( FOCUS FESTIVAL OF LINCOLN CENTER )."

He was also given the honor of performing for the prince and princess of Japan and on another special occasion,
he was selected to perform as soloist at the event honoring the LOS ANGELES OLYMPICS ORGANIZER.

He has also been the co-principal violinist for the HAYDN - MOZART ORCHESTRA OF NEW YORK. 

He has also been featured on STRING MAGAZINE in JAPAN in which he described his student days as one of the last pupils of 

JASCHA HEIFETZ. 

Having been influenced by the great peadagogy of DOROTHY DeLAY at the JUILLIARD SCHOOL, he also became very serious 

about teaching and he taught at the KINHAVEN MUSIC FESTIVAL in Vermont USA where he also gave chamber music performances. 

He has also given master classes in the USA, KOREA and TAIWAN and has taught at the SEOUL NATIONAL SYMPHONY

ORCHESTRA MUSIC FESTIVAL, TATESHINA MUSIC FESTIVAL in Japan, EUMAG CHUNCHU MUSIC FESTIVAL, J&R MUSIC FESTIVAL,YAEJIN MUSIC FESTIVAL and others.

For 6years he was the faculty member of the CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY OF LOS ANGELES, and has been a well-respected  violin teacher, along with his wife MIN JUNG PARK, since his arrival in Los Angeles in 1989.

He has also been the Violin Professor at THE UNIVERSITY OF SUWON in Korea.

Currently, both him and his wife teach at Azusa Pacific University in the Los Angeles area.

They have also been presented with an award by the CROSSROADS SCHOOL in recognition of their superior teaching in violin.

A review in the KOREA TIMES also described his and his wife's teaching success in this way: 

" The music teacher's task is not simply to instill some seemingly arbitrary motions into the student's head and 

hands, but to challenge the way the pupil thinks about music and ultimately about life. Few teachers are capable of doing this.

Mr.Mori and Miss Park ( his wife ) are among those few... 

When one hears a teenage Korean-American boy... play with the natural 

finesse of a Heifetz, then one understands what good music teachers can accomplish."

Not limiting himself to just performing and teaching, he wrote scripts for music variety programs for a weekly FM radio show for 5years, giving audience and understanding of classical music in an entertaining way.

He also hosted and wrote the script for a music variety program for TV ( As part of the JOHNNY YUNE SHOW ) which was seen in major cities in USA and abroad.


More recently, Mr. Mori has also added conducting to his career.

He has been conducting his ensemble THE PLANETARY CHAMBER ENSEMBLE since 2008.

He as also conducted THE SEOUL METROPOLITAN SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA at the opening ceremony for the 46th KOREAN 

ACADEMY AWARDS( DAEJONG SANG ) as well as the SEOUL NATIONAL SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA and the ANSAN PHILHARMONIC.

Mr. Mori and Miss Park were also contributors to the project which saved the studio of JASCHA HEIFETZ ( Desinged by FRANK 

LLOYD WRIGHT Jr. ) from destruction when Mr. HEIFETZ's house in Beverly Hills was demolished in the 1990's.
